Let’s talk serums. If you are already using serums, then you know the benefits and can see the results. But if you’re new to this skin care ritual, let us tell you all there is to know about serums.
This is the first part of our serum series. This post is more of an introduction and focus on the gentler serums. We will do a second post in the future as part of the serum series.
Ok – let’s get started.
What is a Face Serum?
Face serums penetrate deeper into your skin than a moisturiser and tackle problems like acne, pigmentation, sun damage, wrinkles and more. These magic potions are loaded with good “active ingredients” such as antioxidants, nutrients and vitamins that work to repair the structure of skin cells, increasing skin radiance and skin health! It hydrates your face but also addresses skin issues that you may have, which makes them super useful and extremely popular.
How to Use?
After washing your face with a cleanser and using your toner, simply layer your skin with serum. The best part of using a serum is that depending on your skin type you can layer different products and make your skin care regime work for you! You can use different serums to address specific skin issues on different days.
For the best results, we recommend using serums twice a day: in the morning and once at night. During the day, you can also use a sunscreen after using your serum to protect your skin from harsh UV rays. You typically will use a different serum for day vs night use.
Now comes the most important question - which serum is meant for your skin. The answer totally depends on your needs, and the problems you wish to tackle. We’re sharing five serums today and telling you what they’re best used for.
